Video: Chris Mannix says LeBron will be MVP but that doesn’t matter

A poll of former MVPs had a slight lean toward Kevin Durant as your MVP this year, but Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated was on NBC’s SportsTalk on Tuesday and said LeBron James should be the man.

And it doesn’t matter. Mannix is spot on here — anything less than a ring for the Heat and this season is a failure for LeBron and the franchise. LeBron himself would agree with that.

If you want to vote on who should be MVP — LeBron, Durant Kobe Bryant or Tony Parker — head on over to NBC’s ranking machine and tell us what you think.

I think LeBron himself would agree that another MVP, while nice, doesn’t really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. There’s only one piece of hardware that matters to him right now, and you get it in June, not April.

    Without CP3:. .390 Season Average
    With CP3: .623 Season Average
Lebron shouldn’t get MVP because the Heat would still be above .500 easily with Wade….

LeBron leads Miami in points..assists…and boards( I may be wrong) he has a high FG% and 3P%. Last night’s game proved how valuable he is to Miami. LeBron = MVP.
