Kobe is great and probably closest thing to MJ we will see for awhile. Regardless he will never be ‘the greatest basketball player’ ever. Few people would be foolish enough to really believe that he is. Also since this is what were doing let’s talk about the defense. MJ was a much better defender on ball and could get in passing lanes just as well. All Kobe does is roam and get steals because of it. Sure he is on all nba def. team but not because he locks other people up all game. It’s because he gets steals and occasionally guards the other teams best player for a few minutes which can give the illusion to an average fan that he is a beast defensively. With that logic why not put Iverson on the all def. team one year? haha I mean shoot he was top 5 in steals for years. Kobe is a career 33.3% 3pshooter while Jordan sits at 32.7%. Is that a huge difference?
