Ahahahaha…I enjoy posting facts about how kobe is a average player ” at best” ! I patiently wait for the list of excuses the delirious laker nation will pull out.

The media and the david stern marketed him, after M.J. to keep interest in the league and one of the biggest market teams.

But based on his stats, the terrible shot selection(s), games blown by his over shooting, he has never learned how to actually play the game, fundamentally.

Then delirious laker nation believes, since they give a bunch of thumbs down, that will change the facts….ahahahaha

Kobe has taken 172 more shots than Durant BUT KD leads him in scoring by 25 points !!!

Reading some of the ” excuses ” from delirious laker fans is absolutely hilarious.

Tubal22, who cares how many trophies Kobe has. He has an extremely decorated career, but Kevin Durant at the moment is the more efficient player. That is a fact. So yeah, Kobe could learn a thing or two about knowing when to stop shooting, especially since he’s had games where he’s done 8-31, among other very inefficient games.

You are right. Generally speaking, the more shots a player takes the more his field goal percentage drops (because he is not taking only good shots). Guys like Durant and Kobe who can keep a field goal percentage relatively high while taking a lot of shots are rare and valuable.

You might want to look a little more into FG% averages regarding different types of players before you start comparing them. 43% isn’t amazing, but far from terrible. KD is one of the best scorers ever and arguing that Kobe isn’t because of a lower FG% is childish. You could use the same logic to argue KD is a ball hog because he averages fewer assists per game.

Also, using three exclamation marks is a poor excuse for knowing what you’re talking about.

Can Mike Brown miss the rest of the session due to personal reasons? That would be the greatest favor he could do for the team, let’s face it Kobe is the real coach now. Nice to see new Laker players stepping up each night Kobe doesn’t play, bodes well for the playoffs. Only weak spot is the coaching position, then the bench.

I notice you took his final season with the Bulls. But Jordan was 49% for his career, .497 to be more precise. Still, I get your point.

Anyway, I’m not one of those Kobe haters, he’s obviously one of the greatest hoops guys of all time, but bringing Jordan into it doesn’t really do this conversation justice. Because if Bryant had been shooting as well as MJ (dude shot well over 50% six seasons in his career), he’d be well past him on the all-time scoring list already.

Better just casually mention that Durant is also only (“only” – as if) 46% for his career. Different players. Different positions. Different styles. Different teams. Stupid discussion we got dragged into.

kobe : Field Goal Attempts – 1298, Field Goals Made- 558, Total Pts – 1572….43% shooting !!!

KD : Field Goal Attempts- 1126, Field Goals Made – 563, Total Pts- 1597….50% Shooting !!!

So, as I based on the 43% shooting, kobe has no time to do anything other than learn how to stop jacking up terrible shots.
