I PICKED the teams that I liked…as opposed to you all just taking the teams that your mommies told you to root for. As far as “being loyal to teams since day one”, I haven’t changed any of my teams since day one, so GFY.

Jealousy, patsfiend? You mean that level of existence that Red Sox fans lived in from 1918-2003? Nearly a century of crying and whining about the big bad Yankees, despite the fact that Tom Yawkey was outspending them most years and still not winning anything?

There are legions of New England sports fans who grew up crying in their beers about how the Yankees owned them. Generations that burned with jealousy over how New York OWNED their team. So if any one fan base burns with jealousy, it’s the New England fan base. Even now, with a modicum of recent success, you crybabies don’t know how to handle it. Your constant crying and whining about my returning a small portion of the medicine that you idiots dished out for so long, only shows how weak you all are. Thanks for confirming my assessment of you losers.

Hometown team? Who says that one has to have a “hometown”? I’ve lived all over the country and have picked up team loyalties at different times in my life. Key here, I chose the teams…instead of just listening to my mommy, like you New Englanders obviously did.

And your little renaisssance of sports will soon come crashing down, at which point, all of you bandwagoners will go back to the same rocks that you were hiding under back in the 90s, when none of the New England teams were winning anything.

I’ll say whatever I wish here, kjereld. Especially since New Englanders have been bashing everyone else since the beginnings of this great country. When I see this no longer happening (or even more so, those of you who claim to be otherwise calling your fellow New Englanders out for the self same “bad” behavior), then I will refrain from doing it as well. So, your energies would be much better used fixing things in your own backyard instead of coming at me. Because I’m not listening until I see those on your side of the fence acting right. If you’re a true Celtics fan and you’ve been watching the Celtics this season then you would realize that KG has been one of our best players and has been keeping us in games for the last few weeks. So he may be “100 years old” but he’s sure not playing like it.

Wow i must say I’m impressed really cause you just said “New England sports fans” meaning you must have met each and every one of us “New England sports fans” around the world correct? I mean if you haven’t then making such a bold and rude statement like “New Englanders are nothing more than greedy self centered jerks” to such a broad group of people would just be stupid. So it only leads me to believe that you’ve met us all. Bro there are some “New England sports fans” that are selfish but there are a lot more of us who really care for the game, our players and our team so try not to group us all in that one category okay. Garnett, for all his crazy, is the heart of the defense for the Celtics, the emotional engine for the team, and nutty grandpappy to the young bigs. The problem is, he’s going to want big money, and Pierce and Rondo are the guys they need to keep. Hopefully he’ll be reasonable and find a way to retire a Celtic.
