Wrong. The Lakers were a mess last year. They were also a mess in 04 – 07 when Kobe threw Bynum under the bus, asking for him to be traded for Jason Kidd. This is Brown’s rookie campaign and he deserves the same patiences P-Jack got as Bulls HC during the seven year itch MJ had.

I agree with P-Jack’s quote on Bynum but I’m not a Laker fan that’s yearning for his return. Tex Winter is not coming back with Phil and Tex was Phil’s man at arms. It makes no sense for Bynum to be acting up like this under Brown. Phil never let Drew sniff low post touches, Brown is feeding Drew and convinced Pau to take a back seat so Bynum can shine. Laker fans forget how much trouble Bynum was for Phil. Phil fined Drew for being 25 minutes late to a game. All those speeding tickets, handicap parking violations, and the playoff meltdown that caused the 4 game suspension this year happened on Zen watch. Phil tried to tell Drew it’s time to grow up in 2007 when he fined him. Now he’s becoming a Rasheed Wallace/Ron Artest menace in the eyes of the refs. Bynum has not earned the right to test the refs yet so he better get a grip quick or that label will stump his superstar potential.

agree with Phil. just let AB figure it out himself. i just dont think Brown has the sand to pull in AB by the reigns. if Brown tried, it could escalate and get him “van gundy-ed” in LA.
