This is what annoys me about media people. Teams start to lose a little more than they did before and they make up stories. Anyone who has done any research and watched interviews, would know that the Sixers players speak ab Doug Collins. This guy is a player's coach. He gives them offensive freedom and just asks that they play hard every play of every game. Non superstar players love coaches like him and trust me Philly doesnt have a superstar. The reason why they are losing right now is the fact that they aren't good enough. They dont have a consistent post presence. The they dont have great perimeter shooting and they dont have a force in the middle on defense. They have hid these deficiencies by playing hard and taking advantage of what some would call a weak schedule. So please media people lets find some real stories out there. You know that you can do better. STEP YOUR GAME UP

This is what Collins has always done.
He gets a young team to play over their head but after a while they tune him out and he moves on.
He is good at what he does and he can get a team to go from point A to point B but he never leads them to point C.

Not saying that there shouldn't be trades does or upgrades to the roster, but the team does have enough talent to make it into the 2nd round, the problem is the coaching. Tired of people seemingly thinking this team is so untalented that Doug must be some miracle worker, hes a good motivator but that's it. He constantly runs the same plays that don't work and hurt us and to stubborn to make adjustments to the teams strengths and weaknesses and run things that work (Letting Turner run point as he and team in whole thrives). The guy has a history of outstaying his welcome and needs to go and take thorn with him.
Again not saying we shouldn't be making trades and getting into FA chase this off-season

The sixers are exactly who I said they'd be when the season started. A good young team, that is good enough to beat bad teams on most nights, average teams more often than not, good teams once in a while, and very good teams hardly ever.
This off season, they should trade Iggy. I dont care if they get value, I'd be happy with a first and an expiring. Then amnesty Brand. That gives them enough money for 2 max contract guys. (Should of moved Iggy at the deadline when he was jsut an all-star and his value was maxed). Starters are Hawes, Holiday, Turner, Young Meeks. Plus whoever they bring in with that cap space. If they want to make a run at Howard as a FA, move Iggy, and just keep Brand and let his contract run out next year (Not soemthing I'm in support of, not a fan of D12 after the circus in Orlando).
Their mistake was thinking their good start was anything more than that. The problem for Collins is, this is a new ownership group, and he is not their guy. If/when they see things how I do, and I don't see how they can't after another quick exit, he may be gone. If not just for lack of progress, for loyalty to guys like Iggy that need to go

The problem "is" the coach. Yes, Doug Collins has taken a very young team and kept them at a level where they can at least make the playoffs. Now they need to find a coach that can take them over the hump...they've done enough learning how to play team basketball...now they need a coach to help them execute.

Just look at the pieces that the 76ers have on their roster...they're awful and they have already exceeded expectations. When a guy coming off your bench leads your team in scoring than you aren't in a good place as a franchise.

Iggy needs to learn how to score, Brand needs to be shown the door, Turner needs to grow a pair, Hawes should go play in Europe, and please bring in somebody who can hit a big shot for the love of god!
