I’m thinking when DWill leaves the Nets, Billy King panics and signs Nash to some ridiculous contract. It wouldn’t be that horrible if the Nets can keep Wallace, pick up Nash and some other top player. This could be a good plan C for Brooklyn.

Nash is putting out good numbers on a mediocre squad at that. Just think what he could do in a better offense with better talent. He’s aging gracefully sort of like John Stockton so I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets 3 more years, but where will he go? Dallas, Portland, New York, Orlando…. MIAMI? Boooo!!!!!!! Miami doesn’t have the money to sign him unless he’s willing to play peanuts. My best guess is Dallas, simply b/c JKidd is near death at the NBA level, and remember when all the the Dwight rumors were swarming, and there were reports that Dallas had the ability to sign Dwight and another max free agent? They still do!! If Dallas doesn’t get DWill, Nash wouldn’t be a bad consolation prize, and they still can sign another max free agent.

Nash is still putting up good numbers (12 ppg, 11 apg). Pretty sure you’ve got to be putting up Juwan Howard/Eddie Curry type numbers before you settle for some major decline in your salary to get the ring.

Nash is a future HOF and a class act. He can still play a significant role.

That being said, this sounds like a perfect opportunity for the Knicks to make a horrible contract.
