This whole Rose groin issue has been more hidden than revealed and he has not yet gotten anything out of the Hamilton trade. (not his fault) It is the same team of super over-achievers that won the most games in the NBA last year and fell to the Heat. When the other team is running at full bore and is good on defense the Bulls lack a front court player (to match Rose when healthy) who can create his own shot. I am fan but still not expecting them to get past the 2nd or perhaps 3d round. Hope that I am wrong.

Dropped 4 in a row to the west, struggled to beat the raptors in a back to back, and just generally struggled on offense and defense. The point is that they’re a solid Philly-esque team without rose, but with him they’re an elite team.

These are the same people calling the radio show yesterday trying to blow the team up and get more “athletic”. First, this team is pretty athletic and second, athletic doesn’t always make you good….Philly is athletic and they aren’t legit title contenders. You need a great sum of parts, not a bunch of the same parts.

As stubborn as he sounds, I’m with Thibs about the last two losses (Thunder and Rockets). Offense really isn’t an issue, it’s the defense.

It was the Bulls first loss this season when they have scored under 80pts when they played the Thunder. Personally, I think they lost that game b/c they played with 0 energy and 0 intensity.

Against the Rockets, Bulls were up by 15pts at one point and gave up the lead. It was their defense that slipped.

Adding D-Rose back to the lineup will only increase their chances of winning…but the Bulls team isn’t built on one player..it’s a team based thing.

Anyways, Chicago Tribune was reporting that Rose can finally start take on some contact in practice starting on Tuesday. That’s a good sign.

The Lucas magic has worn out and Watson has been just terrible lately. They get into these offensive ruts that Derrick used to get them out of, now they just hope Deng or Korver can knock down some shots. When they don’t, the Bulls offense can get downright miserable. 31 points combined in their last 2 3rd quarters, and they’ve scored 23 or less in 9 of their last 12 quarters. Not good.
