The nicks are playing with fire considering the have B-Dizzle with the back already and now Amare with the back as well, not to mention Tyson Chandler has had some chronic foot isues during his career.

I guess the best way to look at it is I am sure this makes Mellow happy. This can only mean more shots for him right?

I suffered a bulged disk playing basketball at the end of October and I’m only now getting back to the gym to strengthen up again. Admittedly I haven’t had NBA level medical staff to help me recover, but Amare is looking at a long recovery if it’s badly bulged.

I know it helped them land Chandler but they are going to regret not saving that amnesty for Amare’s contract, especially considering they could have gotten D-Will or Dwight Howard this off-season had they not wasted it (taking into consideration Dwight not waiving his opt out clause). I live in NY and follow the Knicks closely (though I’m not a fan) and Amare has looked like a shell of the player who dominated the league for 60 games last season. His explosiveness is gone, he’s relied on a mid range game that is average at best, and he can’t rebound with anyone who throws a body on him or who has a decent vertical (although he was never a great rebounder). First it was his knees, how his back that also bothered him all off-season and didn’t allow him to train? This man is falling apart and with 3 years left on the contract, the Knicks could be looking at a 20 million dollar a year shell of himself!
