Either way, winning a first-round matchup will only be fool’s gold for the Celtics. They have no chance to go deep into the playoffs. Unless the refs help them out, that is.

There are only two real contenders: the Heat and the Bulls. If the Celtics don’t face either in the first round, then one-and-done is not inevitable. If they do face either of them, that will be because their old legs couldn’t carry them through the regular season and 4-1 is a good bet on their first round exit.
