They have that record because they have probably the deepest team in the league and a top 3 coach in the league and they play great team defense. It’s the team that’s getting this done. I’m a Bulls fan. Have been since even before covering the team for a media outlet in Chicago during Jordan’s run there. Thibs is right. You want players, regardless of talent, to be in game shape and in sync with their teammates going into the playoffs and the only way to do that is by playing games together. Since the NBA revolves so much around one-on-one play offensively, this is more important from a defensive perspective than anything. Everyone points to Jordan’s scoring as what made him great, but it’s his (and the team’s overall) defense that won them 6 titles in 8 years.
