Allow me to be a selfish, classless jerk: Watching Brad Miller play basketball for the Bulls (especially the second go around) was the most infuriating time period in my life – not ONE of the most infuriating periods, THE most infuriating – and I will forever rue the day(s) he stepped on the court for the red and black. Never in the history of basketball has someone been able to parlay seven-foot status into something resembling a decent career with such a limited (as in complete absence of) skills. So slow, so nonathletic, so uncoordinated, so so SO bad at basketball. It was absolutely unreal. He made Dickey Simpkins look like a hall-of-famer. He was so bad, that I had completely erased him from my subconscious (along with Kornell David, Ron Mercer, Rusty LaRue, and Toni “The Matador” Kukoc’s defense) before reading this article. Sleep well tonight, Wolves fans. Your nightmare is over. Seriously, I need help.

Actually, David Kahn offered him to come back and be a part of the organization in a coaching role if he wishes it. This tells you the kind of guy and teammate he must be. Also, it is true that he is not athletic so clearly he has smarts for the game to be as successful as he was.

I will still never forget the time he beaned Shaq with the ball from the baseline to the half court line dead on after Shaq dunked on him. But either way, he managed a pretty damn good career out of nothing. All the best Brad!
