Quote of the Day: B-Easy is a six-year-old, apparently

Michael Beasley AP

Michael Beasley on what he was doing at the NBA Trade Deadline while rumors swirled around him regarding a potential trade to the Lakers which never came through:

“I know exactly what I was doing: I watching Fanboy and Chum Chum, eating pizza, French fries and lemonade,” he said, referring to a Nickelodeon cartoon and some of his favorite foods.

Puffing the magic dragon, taking out Mary Jane, watching fanboy and chum chum

  4. hawknuts - Mar 17, 2012 at 1:00 PM

this is pathetic journalism. in the entire nba, there is not a better story that you can be relaying to the public? nbc should rethink your status as an employee

    • HitsDingers - Mar 17, 2012 at 1:58 PM

Dude, it’s a funny, 5-line story. Lighten up.

      • hawknuts - Mar 17, 2012 at 2:10 PM

its all this guy ever does and its not even funny

to each their own i guess…he’s still better than kurt in the fact that he at least names the proper teams and has someone edit his pieces.

      • HitsDingers - Mar 17, 2012 at 2:43 PM

I agree that this is the most deficient blog on NBC’s network, but I highly doubt Matt would call this “journalism” at all, and more of a funny quote from a grown man.

    • gocubsgo91 - Mar 17, 2012 at 3:00 PM

What do you know about journalism? It’s not like he wrote this thinking it was the most important news out there. It was meant to be funny and again point out that Beasley is a complete waste of talent. I got it… and for those that didn’t, you probably don’t know much about Beasley.

  5. pr3zths - Mar 17, 2012 at 1:01 PM

Yeah, ya’ll get on him about his attitude on and off the court, but when the craziest day for any professional comes up you brought up Beasley watching chum chum? He seemed to have taken the highest and best road of anyone I’ve seen so far.

  6. josh928 - Mar 17, 2012 at 1:28 PM

Haha u guys are pricks. Matt Moore writes a crapton of stories and u get on him postin something funny? He’s the one with a job writing stories…ur the ones reading them and postin hate. Lame..

    • phaden27 - Mar 17, 2012 at 1:43 PM

Except it isn’t funny, or news. Try again.

  7. drunkenjunk - Mar 17, 2012 at 1:44 PM

Wow, Matt that’s so horrible. They should fire you and Kurt, both of you are awful. At least he wasn’t out getting a DUI or beating some girl. There is nothing wrong with him relaxing and enjoying himself.

I’ll teach you the difference in jelly and jam josh928. I can’t jelly my dick your mouth.

  12. tedyblessed - Mar 17, 2012 at 2:35 PM

I don’t see a problem with what he was doin. I still watch cartoons as a lot of people. At least he never flip flopped in seconds about leaving.

  13. goforthanddie - Mar 17, 2012 at 3:54 PM

Pizza AND fries? That won’t slow anyone down.

  17. lakerluver - Mar 18, 2012 at 2:14 PM

Hmm, maybe the fact that the LAKERS backed out of that deal was a good thing. Based on that diet MB might blow up to 300 lbs in a couple of seasons.
