Miami also still can't fill the seats. Yeah, they claim to be "selling out" game after game.

But, any casual fan can turn on a Heat home game and see how many empty seats their are in that stadium, even during the playoffs.

That simply doesn't happen in Chicago.

I'm no Heat fan, but Wade's right. Loyalty in sports a joke, a myth and fairytale perpetuated by people who don't know what the real world smells like.

You wanna hear about loyalty and organizations and what they have toward players?

Go ask Derek Fisher. He'll tell you.

I don't like Wade or the Heat, but I agree.

This is a big charade for Howard because he saw how badly LeBron damaged his reputation (and more importantly, his marketability) with his atrocious free agency behavior and the decision.

He now wants to appear to be a "loyal" guy because he stuck it out in a situation that he didn't like. But I think most sensible people see through it and realize Dwight is putting on an act to preserve what little credibility he has left. I also think he realizes how much it can hurt him financially down the road (when's the last time you saw a LeBron commercial?) if he made such a big stink and left Orlando in such a whiny, unprofessional way.

Who knows, maybe it's another case (like LeBron) of being surrounded by bad handlers/managers/agents. But either way, Howard really looks like a clown in all of this.

Why? Wade's 100% right. There is no loyalty in basketball, but here's a bigger problem: The Salary cap and max contract limits in basketball. Look at the NFL with Mario Williams to the Bills. The Bills are a small market team that is horrible, yet they are able to offer him a $100 million contract because there isn't a yearly max that limits the contract. Same in hockey. If you're an NBA player, who can be a FA, and basically every team other than your current one can offer you the same contract, regardless of what their cap space is, then going to a larger market or nicer locale makes more sense. Who would pick Milwaukee or Toronto or Minnesota over Miami, NY, or LA if the money is the same? Maybe Stern should have thought of those little tweaks before basically setting the stage for another lockout in 6 years.
