I can’t believe they traded Fisher. I hope the cancer centers in Houston were considered when they sent him there, because the reason Utah released him so he could sign (or did they trade him back) with LA was so he could get treatment good for his daughter’s cancer. They just traded away the ultimate professional.

Giving up a first-round pick to get Jordan Hill, sounds awesome. I love the Lakers management plan to get all younger and s**t. And to trade away DFish? Really? Although Blake is probably a better player at this point in their respective careers, I’d still take Fish while a playoff game is in the balance.
Lakers probably just don’t like rookies, remember that Sasha Vujacic for Joe Smith trade where they gave up a pick as well? God…

Also the Lakers are without a doubt the 2nd best team out West. No one can play with their Bigs and adding Sessions is a definite upgrade at the PG position, lastly MWP can still play D with the best of them and has shown that this season in big games and has hit some timely 3 point FG’s. Heck the Lakers might sneak there way past OKC and in the Finals, anything is possible with this team.

Incorrect statement:11:58: Quick update on the trade of Leandro Barbosa to the Pacers: The Raptors get back veteran guard Anthony Carter as well as a second round pick. The Pacers were going to cut Carter so he’s just a throw in the Raptors can use the rest of the season.

Pacers don’t have Carter, the Raptors do.

Barbosa for a 2nd…. ok my Pacers are at least trying but I hope this means there is another deal coming. I mean him and George Hill basically do the same thing so I hope this part of a larger plan. We need some toughness inside…. Foster keeps getting nicked and we need a guy that will hand out some hard playoff fouls.

Man I forgot how deep that 05 draft was Monta, Gortat, Louis Williams, Turiaf, Ilyasova, C.J. Miles, Brandon Bass, Amir johnson… even Gomes and Von Wafer have played well and those were just 2nd round picks. With all of the talent that went in that draft the Bobcats took Raymond Felton and Sean May….. pathetic.

I’d take JaVale McGee for the right price. The right coach can get him out of his antics. There are very few good centers in the NBA, and McGee has the chance to be one of them with his size and athleticism. If only he had a brain. The right coach (like Popovich, Adelman, etc, who both probably have no interest in him whatsoever) could force him to change.
