Video: Danilo Gallinari’s ridiculous almost game-winning three

Mar 14, 2012, 8:39 AM EDT

Kobe Bryant thought that was an off-balance, contested, impossible shot.

But Danilo Gallinari nailed what everyone thought would be the game winner for the Nuggets over the Hawks with a corner three that few people would even have attempted. And we’re pretty sure George Karl said something like, “Great shot kid — don’t ever take one like it again.”

It turned out not to be the game winner, there was a whole overtime of basketball ahead.

But still the shot is one of the highlights of the year.

What a wet rock. I wish the Wolves would try and deal for him.

I freaked the freak out last night when this happened. I immediately thought, no freaking way that goes… OMG!! DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!?!?

If he didn’t let himself fall down after the shot, it’s no big deal. Guys hit that shot all the time, and it wasn’t contested that tight.

Drama much? What profootballwalk said, guys hit that shot every night, they’re the best in the world. If it would not have been late in the game, no one even notices.
