This is just awesome for us Bucks fans, all three of us love this deal. They end up with a washed up jerk and damaged goods while we get young talent and one of the best scorers in the NBA. Absolutely hosed them. Go Bucks Go!

Nobody but the most biased Warrior fan could be happy about this. You get rid of your leading scorer, the #6 pick in last year’s draft AND a giant expiring and all you get is a center who has missed 40% of his teams’ games in the last 4 years and a malcontent who they traded years back because we wanted a new contract (and still does)?

Yikes.

And yeah, now they pin their hopes to Bogut and Steph’s flimsy ankles.

Wow, GSW got killed on this deal, if your a Bucks fan how could you not love this? They got rid of S. Jax and found a taker for a guy who will never be 100% ever again!

If your a GSW fan…sorry for you guys. Your team is now revolved around 2 players, Guard and C, that need to be put in bubble wrap after every game that they make it out of. Basically you guys are the new version of the Houston Rockets’ McGrady and Yao.

Should be interesting to see how Jackson goes about this being how he forced his way out of the bay a few years ago. At least he’ll get playing time.

Now, LET THE TRADES BEGIN!!!!!!! Finally someone got the courage to pick their ass up off the wall, get a girl and start dancing!

Agreed, 100%. Those who think the Bucks win this trade by a landslide ar simply WAY OFF base.

That said … I like Udoh a great deal, and the Warriors will miss him moving forward.

The PG combination of Curry, Robinson and Jenkins is more more productive than most NBA observers realize.

Ellis won’t be missed by Golden State at all.

If Jackson is even a shadow of his former self, it would not surprise me at all, if the Warriors have a better W-L record moving forward from this point to the end of the regular season schedule than they’ve had to now.

And, if G-State can manage to add a relatively healthy Bogut [C] to their team, down-the-road, inconjunction with Mr. Biedrins [C], this deal won’t be a killer for them in the least.

Yes, this is true. While I still don’t like the trade, Monta Ellis will not ever win a title. A 6’3″ shooting guard does not get it done, just simply doesn’t. Why do you think the Warriors got rid of him?

That said, Bogut honestly can’t be the best player the Warriors could get. I bet Stephen Jackson doesn’t even play 5 games with the Dubs after that nasty break-up last time.

They made a deal just to make a deal.

Interesting:
Last year, the Nuggets fleeced the Knicks in exchange for Carmelo. This year, Ellis, who’s pretty much the same type of player as Carmelo is, gets traded for much less.

That being said, while it sucks to lose Udoh, I don’t think Ellis is as valuable as people make him out to be. He’s not an efficient scorer, plays no defense, and lacks any kind of intangible basketball skills. Ellis is not a starter that a championship team would want. He should be like a Jason Terry or Jamal Crawford – coming off the bench. Otherwise, he’s what everyone knows him to be: a great scorer on a bad team.

Seeing how Carmelo is working out with the Knicks, it’s no wonder teams weren’t lining up to get Ellis.

As a long-suffering Bucks fan, I love the trade. Bogut is a class act and it’s sad that his injuries have robbed him of being effective. I’m shocked the Warriors were this stupid – this trade is nowhere near being even. That said, I’m going to wait until the deadline is over – Ellis could still get traded again for picks or something. But I’d like to see him and Jennings in the same backcourt. If they’re good, then to hell with Scott Skiles.

That is a hell of a lot for Jackson (a guy the Bucks banished) and Bogut with his history. I am shocked the Bucks were able to get this much. Ellis is a legit scorer (though I’m not sure him and Skiles will enjoy each other) and Udoh is far from a throw in player. The Warriors gave up way too much in this deal. I just don’t see how this was the best deal they could get. The Bucks GM should get executive of the year for getting this trade. Even if they have to move Ellis next season (and they most likely will) I am sure they will get more for him than the Warriors did. Don’t stop now John Hammond… get the Magic on the phone and see if you can get Dwight Howard for Drew Gooden and IIyasova.

I will not watch another Warriors game. What the hell are they doing? The only bright spot on the team was Ekpe and Ellis. Now we have an injured Curry who will never be healthy, and injured Bogut, a lame Jackson…and we are still left with Biedrens, an erratic player in Wright, Lee must be pissed. What, are we going bring Baron Davis back and try to recreate WE Believe. Warriors fans will errupt with anger on this trade.

Ekpe was amazing on defense and he was getting better game by game on offense. The new owners are idiots. The Warriors are way worse with this trade. Milwaukee robbed the Warriors!

How can't you love this for Milwaukee? It is pretty clear if you know anything about the team. Bogut won't play again this year. Jackson was useless to the Bucks, and they were willing to lower their standards a bit just to lose him and his contract. Since the All-Star break, Milwaukee has looked very good. Playoff good. Now, the trade happens and they end up getting two brand new players (three if you count Kwame, who I believe is out for the year) for that system, while losing nobody whom is a contributor. The talent of Ellis and the size of Udoh, consider Milwaukee a shoe-in. This is a great trade for the Milwaukee Bucks!
