Didn't Gomes come to Portland in the Martell Webster - draft rights to Babbitt deal? And did not Portland just pick up Gomes' salary and release him without him having spent a day in a Blazer uniform? And now the Blazers are going to trade Crawford for Gomes, a player they gave away? Nothing the Blazers do since their GM fiascoes would shock me but this would be close.

yup right on, but the other thing that's holding them back bigtime is they'll never go anywhere unless they fire their coach, Del Negro has got no clue whatsoever..... from his lack of defensive capability which obviously shows, to simple things like not being able to manage player minutes... I don't know how many times this season I've seen players go into the 4th outta gas...

he really needs to be coaching at a college level somewhere, not cut out for the nba, but then again a lot of nba coaches aren't either, only a few good solid ones out there the rest are basically assistant quality

I agree.
I know the Clippers are a bit desperate for a 2 guard who can shoot the ball.
But getting Crawford now is a very short-sighted move....sure it might make the Clippers slightly better for this postseason, but is it actually going to put them over the top? Doubtful. Crawford has never put any team over the top.

Better to wait. They might lose in the 2nd round this year, but next year, with an older Bledsoe, better chemistry, and a healthy Billups, they'll be the best team in the West. And they can always look for a backup 2 or 3 in the offseason. You can get a cheaper, better defender who can shoot. No need for Crawford's playmaking and dribbling ability, I'd rather take the defense.

NOOOOOOOOOOO from any Clippers fan, and HELL no especially after watching what Bledsoe is capable of doing last night when he shut down Monta Ellis in the 4th quarter and brought the team back with his hustle plays.

YOU DON'T NEED ANY MORE FIREPOWER CLIPPERS!!!!!!

I always liked Bledsoe and after seeing what he's really capable of defensively last night against the Warriors, now I really like him and want him to stay

Why in the world would the Bobcats trade one of their only assets for a few game rental? This trade makes no sense. DJ is a decent player that hasn't made waves about being in Charlotte. If they extend him the qualifying offer they have a decent chance of having him on the team next year. Crawford is gone as soon as the season ends. You have to trade for future assets or for players that you can keep MJ. While he is at it I hear the Cavs are interested in their pick this year and Kimba Walker for Antawan Jamison.... better call them quick.
