That was my hope originally, as looking as if his foot was moving and not planted when there was contact. You hope it is a sprain, or contusion of some sort, it would be a shame to see his rookie season end like this. But nothing we aren’t used to in loserville, USA.

AD was his Sooner nickname, hasn’t really caught that much steam at the NFL level. He is more commonly referred to as AP, unless you are talking to him, he seems to want the AD name to continue.

Vikings – AP tears up his knee

Gopher Basketball – star Trevor Mbakwe torn ACL

Twins – ludicrous number of injuries puts them from first to worst

Wolves – Rubio tears up his knee

I think saying a fantastic rookie season is a bit of an over statement. Sure, the assists look good but not as bad as shooting 36% from the field.

Looking at the replay it looks like Rubio had an akward bend at the knee while he slipped. Hopefully for Rubio and Minnesota it isn’t a tear but instead a sprain.

Lets hope it is just a (badly) bruised knee, which can be very painful. I think I might be more unhappy about this than the AD injury.

That would a disappointing end to a surprising season. I was among the fans that thought he’d be a bust. Instead, he has energized that team & the city. Let’s hope that all didn’t come to such a sudden end like this.

That’s devastating news. That’s all it takes to kill playoff hopes and dreams for a team who hasn’t been there for a long, long time. In real time it didn’t look that bad and it kind of seemed like Rubio was Paul Pierce-ing it up, but this is just bad. I’m bummed and I’m a Laker fan.
