Funny story, Gerald Green may have had the best in-game alley-oop ever

Mar 10, 2012, 10:58 PM EST

You’re seriously not going to believe this. It was so good I’m not even going to set it up for you. Just watch.

Note that his head is above the rim. Note that’s a windmill. Off an alley-oop. In a game.

That’s absurd. Ridiculous. Ill. Nasty. Incredible. Disgusting. Fantastic. Other adjectives.

I’m so glad Gerald Green is back in the NBA, you guys. So glad.

Awesome dunk! Hopefully will get some SportsCenter love on ESPN.

That shot from behind is a thing of beauty. He’s looking down at the rim.

Still worth only two points though.

Glad to see Green garnering this attention. He’s talented and has worked hard for another chance in the NBA. Hope this second 10-day contract he’s on leads to a roster spot.

That is the baddest dunk I’ve ever seen!!

  9. stinkybutter - Mar 10, 2012 at 11:55 PM

Why didn’t he blow out the cupcake while he was up there ?

  10. drunkenjunk - Mar 11, 2012 at 12:01 AM

    that was stellar

  11. redbullenergydrink - Mar 11, 2012 at 12:05 AM

Woah! That guy can jump! Head over the rim!

  12. realbenrush - Mar 11, 2012 at 12:19 AM

Even the crowd sounded violent … normally with Blake you get the “AHHHHHHH” or “WOWWWWWWWWWWWW”

Green left everyone with a literal Viking (not the sports team) “ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”

  13. smoothaswilkes - Mar 11, 2012 at 12:21 AM

    ridunkulous!

  14. detroitcityryda - Mar 11, 2012 at 12:21 AM

    “Dzzzzamnnnnn”

  15. goforthanddie - Mar 11, 2012 at 12:26 AM

Ehh, I did that once. Except it wasn’t in a game, wasn’t an alley-oop, and involved a trampoline. I don’t know which entertained my friends more-the dunk or the landing. It neither looked nor felt pretty :(

    And yeah, Green’s is sweet.

Ever? Should look up Vine Carter’s alley-oop windmill dunks

  17. halfcourthero - Mar 11, 2012 at 12:44 AM

wow!!!! That was some ish. I dont think I seen a better alley than that in the league ever… props to Gerald for getting back in the league and doing his thing. I hope he sticks

Not to take anything away from the dunk, because it was unbelievable, but your reporting is poor because Vince Carter did the same dunk when he was in Toronto. His was more impressive because it was an alley-oop off the glass. Keep up the good work Kurt…

Not to take anything away from Green, cause that dunk is amazing!

But calling it the best in-game alley-oop might be a bit of a strech.. There once was this guy from the Toronto Raptors, i think he has about 2-3 better alleys..

That´s what I call looking down into the hole! Kboom!
