This article is hysterical because all these contracts were laughable when they were given out. The NBA’s biggest issue was the ridiculous contracts that teams gave under performing players. To me until GMs stop paying mediocre talent $5mm it will not correct itself.

Trade

Magic: Melo, Knicks Pick (get superstar under contract, for better superstar about to be FA)

Warriors: Chandler, Shump or Fields (Warriors know Ellis/Curry dont work, this gets them Chandler, the defensive C they wanted in summer and good young guard)

Nuggets: Ellis, Warriors Pick (get top 6 scorer in league, exactly what they need for playoffs)

Knicks: Howard, Gallinari (get most dominate big man and young SF that fits with Lin’s style)

expiring contracts / role players would have to be included, but I think this makes each team better (except Magic, it is impossible to get fair value for a FA to be superstar)
