I’m not saying the Bobcats would want Jackson back… although he was productive for them….I am saying it’s the only way they can get a decent center. In NBA trades you take the good with the bad and the Bobcats can’t get any worse then they are right now. If Bogut gets healthy then it’s a winning trade. If he doesn’t then they aren’t any worse off. The Bucks and Bobcats are in a smililar position with free agents… no decent free agent will ever go to the Bucks or the Bobcats…. ever. The only way to build up is through the draft and risky trades…. and we have seen how the Bobcats draft.

Um, Charlotte traded Jackson to Milwaukee last year. Why would they want him back?

Kurt’s right- Bogut is a borderline All Star, but probably never will be an All Star. He’s injury prone, “freak injury” excuse or not. The Bucks finally got Michael Redd off the books (also very injury prone the last few years), so if they can deal both Bogut and Jackson for someone not named McGee, they will come out ahead.

I can see them dealing Jennings, too, but at least he has more value than Bogut or Jackson.

As much as I hate to say it, the Bucks have no stars, no chance to get any stars, and they have an outdated, dull arena which is a money loser for the team. Herb Kohl is going to sell the team sooner rather than later, and there’s no way a new arena gets approved in Milwaukee- we’ve still got another decade of paying for Miller Park. Bucks in Seattle by 2015!

the injurys he has had are not ones that he could do anything about. they came from playing hard.
I’m pretty much done for life as a bucks fan if they trade Bogut. they would be dead to me like the rest of Milwaukee.

Jackson isn’t a “locker room issue” guy though. Everybody he plays with loves him. Tim Duncan called him the ultimate teammate. Sure, the guy has some high profile issues, but he isn’t locker room cancer like Nick Young or Andray

The Bobcats need to call and see if they can work this trade out. Charlotte won’t be attracting any decent free agents anytime and this might be their only shot to get a decent center. It’s buy low sell high at it’s best. Right now Jackson has no value but next year… in his last year… his value automatically goes up and teams a fearful of Boguts injury issues. The best part of the deal is it won’t mess up them having the worst overall record. It’s not like they could give up too much… they don’t have anything and if it doesn’t work out they are no worse off then they are right now. They are one of the few teams in a position to take this kind of risk.

Yes, Bogut is injury prone but his fractured ankle was bad luck as he landed on Dalembert’s foot.

A healthy Bogut is way better than JaVale McGee. McGee might be the dumbest player in the league.
