Reading my own comment, that was overly harsh. But there seems to be a huge difference between the articles Moore writes for other sites (which I enjoy a lot) and the weekend articles I see on this site. It might be the fact that NBC pushes for articles to be churned out so fast, that quality suffers a bit for quantity.

This is one of the worst composed article headlines I’ve ever read. Do the writers compose the headlines on this site, or the editors? If I were Kurt, I’d be a little offended with the way Moore mails in articles on this site. I’ve seen Moore write great pieces for other sites. But a lot of his pieces on PBT read like a teenage girl is writing them.

For the LAKERS to have a legit chance to win a title they will have to trade either Bynum or Pau. As much as I like Pau, I’d rather keep Bynum. Pau and a pick for Lowery and Scola. After that the LAKERS should go after Beasely.

I fail to understand why the Wolves are interested, unless you would get him for Beasley and spare parts (doubtful). The Wolves have Love and Pekovic (both younger and better deals financially), and Derrick Williams is showing the he deserves playing time. While Williams may be able to play some 3, he is more of a 4 (sometimes with Love sliding to the 5). That leaves three guys that can, and should, get most of the minutes at the 4 and 5 spots. Where does Gasol get minutes if you add him? And, I would hate to see any of those three players leave in order to land Gasol. The Wolves are a building team. You build with cheap, talented, young players, not with an older player like Gasol.

Kahn, you have finally got people to stop calling you a meddling idiot. Making a deal for Gasol, and sending away any of the three players I mentioned (or Rubio) wiull have people calling you stupid again, and should get you fired.

As a Houston Rockets fan I will be the 1st to say I don’t won’t any part of Paul Gasol. He is soft and his production has been declining I don’t think Gasol would make another star want to come play here. I also don’t think Gasol would be good at being the number 1 option. He flourished as the second option.

This is a terrible basketball take. Gasol’s numbers are near what they have been for the last 4 years. His shooting percentage is down a bit and so are his FT attempts but he is still their second best player. Kobe is also shooting at a historically low percentage for him but shooting more. Lets all jump on the Kobe is finished bandwagon… oh wait there is no such thing. The problem is and will continue to be the supporting cast. You have a starting PG that is getting 6 points and 3 assists. How is this acceptable?

Go ahead though trade Gasol for some mid level talent. Then when Bynum gets hurt you become a Lottery team because a 34 year old won’t be able to carry the team like he used to.

Gasol should have good longevity as a player, because his game is predicated on skill and height and shooting ability, losing athleticism should hurt him very little, comparatively.

Yes, it is. Let’s be clear though, Gasol doesn’t get traded to either Houston or Minnesota without Love, Rubio, or Lowry coming back to the Lakers. Thus far, it seems too steep a price, which sort of makes this all about Gasol. While Gasol had a rough start to the year, he’s rounding back to form over the last month. I’d rather he not get traded but he is still the Lakers best chip. Should be interesting to see how this all shapes up for Gasol and the Lakers.
