Try Minnesota. The Vikings are 0-fer in Super Bowls and are currently one of the 3 worst teams in the NFL. The Twins were dead last in the AL in 2011. The T-Wolves were dead last in the NBA in 2010-11 and have been for years. The Wild are below average. The city has watched a NBA and NHL team walk, and might lose their football team. Throw in the Gophers and their 40+ year NYD bowl drought and their 21 year NCAA tournament win drought (not counting forfeits) and you have America’s most star-crossed sports city/state.

Atlanta is a fake sports town. Maybe the worst sports town in the country is Atlanta, but not the most miserable. Cleveland has hardcore passionate fans, Atlanta doesn’t at all. Cleveland never wins anything, but the city and its fans still support the Cleveland teams. Atlanta stadiums are partially empty when they make the playoffs. My point is in Cleveland they care way more then in Atlanta, thus they are more miserable because they care more. Losing sucks and Cleveland always loses
