@getadealdonealready. You are completely wrong. He has been a little better, but look at how many shots the guy has taken even in the last month…Even the games where he barely got in he manages to shoot 8 times.

The Wolves are incredibly fun to watch and I’ve seen a number of their games. Pekovic is an absolute beast. JJ, Ridnour, and Rubio have been great in the backcourt too. This team doesn’t need Beasley and there is a reason Adleman starts the rookie over him when KLove is out…

It’s obvious you haven’t watched the wolves much lately, I don’t blame you based on their past, but they are a decent watch now. The only way I say they move him is if they can get a legit 2, if not we need his scoring, as we don’t have many other go to scorers on this team. If you watch him since he has come back from his injury he is trying to be a team player, almost to the point he passes the ball too much, and you can tell he just seems a little out of sorts as he is over thinking things. The kid can flat out score, and rebound if put in the right situation would be a good player

Ray Allen for mike Beasley would actually be a smart deal, ray Allen is gone at the end of the year anyways so why not get younger and let mike learn under kg and pp. Then come next year the celtics have a nice young core in rondo, Jeff green, brandon bass, mike Beasley, Moore, and johnson

Ain’t that the truth. Don’t let Beasley’s stats fool you. Sure he can score X amount of points a game, but take that X number and multiply it by 6 and that is the number of shots he takes every game. He’s a black hole with the ball.

The problem with Beasley going to the Lakers is Kobe. In Minnesota if he is playing stupid or shooting us out of games Adelman just pulls him and all the players just let it go. Kobe is too fierce of a competitor to let that happen. If Beasley starts shooting them out of games Kobe is going to be all over him. That will create a bad relationship and maybe a worse locker room. I know that is a veteran locker room but they do have some young guys there that could be affected.

Plus pairing Beasley with World Peace is a situation no one wants. Beasley wants to be Durant but doesn’t have the demeanor or drive to ever become him.

Trading any T-Wolf without getting a wing player (SG or SF) in return should be a non-starter. The Wolves might be one of the most imbalanced franchises in recent league history. Much worse than the SuperFriends and their circle of stooges last year. The positional PER numbers on 82games are absolutely stunning.

I think that’s a great point, and I hate to annoy by looking at it from the Laker’s perspective, but I think he would fit in perfectly there. I think with Kobe motivating him would allow him to keep his head on his shoulders. They also desperately need bench scoring. It’s painful to watch their bench lineup just dump it in to Bynum and stand outside waiting, and then he has nobody to pass to and turns it over.

As a side point, that’s another advantage of Kobe over lebron. You can bring in knuckleheads to play with kobe, and because they respect him so much they will fall in line. Not sure about lebron as much. It’s also easier for Beasley to find his drugs in LA so at least he won’t stress out as much.

I don’t see a reason why Minnesota would want Marion. He’s way past his prime. And in my opinion, not worth the money that he’s being paid for anymore. Timberwolves would be better off listening to other teams’ offers.

Beasley is a bit of a knucklehead. He has as much talent as any star in the NBA, but he is just so inconsistent. If he can mature off the court, it will make his game much more attractive. You do carry your off court personality onto the court, and so far Beasley has yet to show he is mature enough to handle a consistent high level role in the NBA. I hope he puts it together though, because he has a unique ability to score in a variety of ways.

What’s wrong with Beasley that Kurt is trashing him so hard?? Ok so he’s not likeable, and he’s a bust considering his draft position. But he can score and rebound above average, and he has scored 30 points once or twice this season. He is still a young guy with time to figure it out, he never fights people on his own team, he’s just a weird guy.

The fact that people think he’s not worth a trade exception is ridiculous. Kurt always refers to the lakers as desperate because they are trying to improve their team, how is that desperate? He’s a player that will make the rotation and you can get him for almost nothing, so you have to at least consider it. Kurt’s writing sounds kind of desperate actually.

What are the odds of a Beasley for Marion straight up swap? Minnesota gets a player and Dallas gets the freedom to sign 2 max deals next year.

I don’t know much about NBA trades obviously.

Beasley could be a good 6th man if he’s willing to accept it. The kind of guy you stick on the bench if he’s not playing the right way. That’s what Adelman has been doing. The problem is the Wolves don’t have ANY legit wing starters so it’s kind of silly to make Beasley a 6th man.

Kind of like the Lamar Odom role in LAL (I’m guessing that’s where the Lakers would stick him).

Ray Allen for Beasley would be fair from my perspective. Better than nothing.

Problem with the Celtics is the only guy they have that Wolves could use is Ray Allen. And that just won’t happen. Nets have Anthony Morrow who could be really great on this team. But outside of those guys they really can’t get much from trading Beasley (which is going to happen, just a matter of to whom and for what). Wolves if they sell Beasley right could really get a steal of a trade.
