The slam dunk contest was put on for entertainment and last years contest was brilliant . Javale McGee was the unfortunate loser , but his dunks were appreciated and remembered for their greatness . Blake Griffin put on a show , a spectacular show . Yes , he jumped over a car and threw down a thunder dunk . That’s entertainment it draws interest and high TV ratings . It’s worth mega bucks to the producers , sponsers , and the media . The LA Clippers have been sold out for 28 games in a row. Before Blake Griffin you never saw the Staples arena even half full .
Did it suck ? Only to those who hate the Clippers and Blake Griffin . If it had been a Laker you would be hearing a different tune .
For all the purist you have this years contest to see generic dunks . I bet you won’t even turn the TV on it will be so dull .

If you want to see really cool dunks you have to go on youtube and watch ones from like 10 years ago. No props or any of that crap.
