Don’t count on Sterling to sign Paul and Griffin to max extensions. More likely is they’ll sign Griffin to a max extension, although I can see them balking at a Rose Rule 30% of the cap deal.

Signing and older and somewhat injury prone Chris Paul to a max extension does not seem likely. Griffin won’t test the waters, he’ll take the money. Chris Paul will leave and Sterling will keep packing the house with Griffin, but any hopes of a championship will be dashed. They’re certainly not going to flirt with the luxury tax to contend.

Actual Management HAS changed with the Clippers. Neil Olshay is now in charge and he has been the best in the business this year by signing a waived Chancey Billups, trading for Chris Paul, re-signing DeAndre Jordan, and adding Kenyon Martin and Reggie Evans. He didn’t get JR Smith, but that was only because JR wanted the largest platform to make an impression so he can sign a bigger contract the year after next. You can’t fault the Clippers’ Management on JR’s greed. This statement is coming from a DIEHARD Los Angeles LAKERS fan.

There is absolutely nothing of substance transcendent about Blake Griffin and his 30% FG when not dunking.

They need an efficient scorer to become transcendent…. Someone who isn’t CP3 and can make a shot outside of the paint better than Griffin’s 30%

I know this sounds like total hating but it’s based on a clear historical pattern with the Clippers. They have a great level of prosperity right now, and it likely wont last more than another year or 2 at the most.

The ownership has not changed for the Clippers and because of that, nobody should believe the franchise will ever be trying to compete for the big one. They’re fun to watch, but so are the Thunder. I don’t think there’s too many people that would really put all their chips on the Thunder either.

I’m a Laker fan but I’ve always supported the Clippers. In saying that, it’s better not to support the Clippers because all they do is break your heart. (ie my Chargers too)

Paul will be gone soon, Griffin will be gone soon, I’d rather they stay right where they are, but im realistic and not trying to ignore the truth about a franchise that chooses mediocrity and again im a Chargers fan so I speak from first hand experience
