Video: Martell Webster and when not to go for the dunk

Feb 21, 2012, 10:07 AM EDT

There are 4.9 seconds remaining in overtime, Minnesota is down three, they have no timeouts left and Denver is inbounding the ball. The Timberwolves only hope is a steal and a three.

Martell Webster gets the steal and…. yea. Nice dunk and all but I think Ricky Rubio‘s reaction sums it up best. And by the way, those are the home town announcers trying to be kind.

Hat tip to Tim Ziller of SBN for finding this video.

Wolves didnt really deserve to win this game anyway. They gave up a 14 point lead in the fourth to a backup nuggets squad.

The Wolves outscored the Nuggets 20 – 17. In other words, they made a 3 point comeback to tie the game and put it into overtime. Do your research.

You could argue that neither team really deserved to win. Neither team scored for nearly 3 minutes to start OT.

I saw this last night and my jaw just dropped. How can you be so unaware of the game situation?
