Whitlock certainly got a pass on that comment, but it’s not surprising.

Some people can say whatever they want and get a pass, some can’t, it’s the way of the world right now.

Who cares? Not everyone has the same definition of funny. It doesn’t matter if it was funny or not. Even if it was the funniest thing on earth, it was still lazy and stereotyping, and that’s what matters. That Whitlock hasn’t been as successful as other sports journalists doesn’t matter either.

Nice try with the phony outrage, everyone’s first reaction was to laugh at Whitlock’s comment.

Maybe it’s “insensitive”, but it’s also hilarious. There are plenty of things that offend people but are also funny.

Rashard Lewis had game, but he also had PED’s, which might be worth mentioning when championing what he was able to do late into his career. Without the PED’s, he’s now regressing like a normal player in his 30′s.
