Video: Will Ferrell with the best team introductions ever

Feb 8, 2012, 10:30 PM EST

In case you missed us warning you earlier, Will Ferrell did the team introductions for the Bulls at Hornets game tonight, and it was vintage Ferrell.

Did you know Luol Deng has a pet dolphin named Chachi? That Derrick Rose‘s favorite movie is “The Notebook?” That Trevor Ariza doesn’t think Ferrell is funny? (Just basing that on his reaction to his intro.)

Really, every team should have Ferrell come in and do this. Although $5 says Kevin Garnett wouldn’t find him funny either.

    Meh.

Not as funny as I’d hoped.

Agreed Will Farrell is only funny in the right roles/spots …. this was just ok. Mike & Mike built this up as a must watch and youtube clip. After viewing it once, I’m good.

The funny thing is I’m pretty confident Carlos Boozer still lives with his mom.

Ten chances, and not a one funny.

Looks like someone needs writers to get laughs.

Just seeing the reactions from the players makes it hilarious. They need to let him do the intros at the All Star Game

  5. willardj - Feb 9, 2012 at 1:07 AM

Wow this was the greatest thing ever

  6. jayzus - Feb 9, 2012 at 7:33 AM

Pretty cool, did he get to wrestle a bear at halftime?

  7. rooney24 - Feb 9, 2012 at 8:30 AM

That was very underwhelming. I did not get the impression that the players cared at all what he was saying. The crowd didn’t seem to react much. It looked like a guy just picking up a paycheck on his name and rep only. Leave it at a one shot deal, never do it again, and we can forget it ever happened.

    • danielcp0303 - Feb 9, 2012 at 12:01 PM

Boozer, Noah and Okafor were all laughing about it. Some of the others had little smirks on their faces. I also doubt he picked up a paycheck for that, probably just some pub.

Damn. we got some harsh critics in the room here at the PBT comment section. (these people probably didnt find Anchorman, Old School, Talladega Nights, and countless other “Wil”l movies funny i bet…)

That was hilarious. classic ferrell. the timing was just right. 10 for 10 on the intro’s. the delivery was perfect.

  9. sdelmonte - Feb 9, 2012 at 10:33 AM

Not very funny. Mean-spirited, in fact, like so much comedy these days. And irrelevant to the game.

    • loungefly74 - Feb 9, 2012 at 1:22 PM

dude…go ahead and stick with your ethel merman and fatty arbuckle comedy. yeah…0-12 on the comments? right call. ya sound like a dinosaur.

      • nelsonsaint - Feb 9, 2012 at 2:25 PM

call me a dinosaur. he’s just not funny.

that entire snl generation from sandler, spade, ferrell, fallon, et al just did nothing for me.

insert here: ironically inappropriate aside with a tangential pop culture reference that goes on far too long (like this comment)

  10. southbeachtalent - Feb 9, 2012 at 11:26 AM

I thought it was good. Some of the players including Boozer found it funny.
