He would have been a much better player coming out of college had he stayed at Indiana for at least another year or two in order to get his weight up on offense. Out of high school, I thought he’d be a big deal in the NBA.

the thing is that he brings almost no offense. his best basketball skill is taking charges, and thats not something that i want out of somebody playing significant minutes

I fall somewhere in the middle in regards of the play of Jeffrightened. On the one hand he plays with such heart, and grit. Any and every charge we need he takes. Plus when he, 21 Shump Street, and Tyson are on the floor together the defense reminds me of the good ol’ days of Oakley, Mason and Starks. However, then you remember game 2 of the playoffs where he basically did the one thing to cost us a playoff game vs the Celts. And who has missed as many open layins in the past 2 seasons as JJ? Is he the main reason we’re struggling? No. Is his contract bad? No. But is he playing so well that he’s above being booed? No.

How anybody can complain about Jeffries, when Mr. Vasquez/Amare are getting paid very well to underperform, is beyond me. Then again, if brains were involved, they wouldn’t be Knicks fans, so…
