The Magic should ride out the season with Howard and see if he’s willing to give up the extra $30 million he can’t get from any other team. I have a hard time believing any player or player’s agent is willing to flush $30 mil.

What’s wrong with telling a guy to play hard? I’m surprised this even warranted a post honestly. As far as Paul “forcing his way out,” couldn’t be further from the truth. He told NO he would not sign an extension after the season, and I’m sure they asked and wanted to know. This gave NO — a league-run team btw with no owner, no long-term plan, no desire to spend $ to bring in more help, and no hopes of winning a title — a chance to get something for him rather than be left empty handed. He was honest with them and he gave them a chance to move on before it was too late. I don’t know what you guys expect from players but he always played hard for them and was honest about not wanting to stay with a dysfunctional organization. It’s more than LBJ did for Cleveland at least.
