If you think Jordan/Pippen were a better 1-2 punch then O'Neal/Bryant then you need to lay off the sauce.

Nets weak competition , really?

those same Nets made the finals the following year and almost pushed the Spurs to a game 7, those same Spurs you are vouching for to get more "attention".

All you need to know about the Spurs is that they almost killed the marketing scale for the NBA, NO ONE WATCHED THE NBA FINALS if san antonio was in it,

on the court, yes the Spurs were great, but they are NOT getting attention bc no one liked to watch those boring teams play, they have all the worst NBA finals ratings when they were involved, and yes

the NBA is a business , its about marketing and ratings as much as it is the actual game itself. The Spurs almost killed that interest amongst sports fans, and are in part the reason the NBA is looking up to MLB & the NFL in the American market.

I'm crazy, really?

bc that 76ers team was coached by Larry Brown and had Allen Iverson in his prime. Obviously you have a bias against Allen Iverson, whether you think he is a thug, or not a team player, whatever the reason.

But A.I. in his prime was as good and explosive as anybody, he was a beast, simply put.

Eastern Conference Finals horribe?!? haha,

ok Reggie and the Pacers, Nets, BUCKS with Ray allen, big dog glen robinson, Sam cassell, George Karl as head coach, & Anthony Mason,

Vince and the Raptors, HEAT with everybody - Zo, Hardaway , , Knicks were still loaded,

Hornets - Elden Campbell, Baron Davis, Jamal Mashburn

Now either you weren't following basketball at that time, or you're crazy.

Or maybe you just dont know anything and have never played the game before at a high enough level to understand things, and are not mature enough to understand the business dynamics of the NBA either,

after all your born in 1988, how could you know? , wait a minute I was born in 1986, I'm only 2 years older then you, how do I know?

because I know more.

I don't disagree with you regarding Kobe & Shaq (although I think the Spurs need more attention...4 rings in Duncan's career, that has to be worth something as well).

But regarding the 76ers and Nets as 'impressive comp' - you either weren't following basketball at that time or you're crazy. Those teams were among the weakest teams to make an NBA finals in history. The Eastern Conference was horrible in those early 2000 years.

shaq and kobe are best 1-2 punch ever

BECAUSE

Shaq is the most dominant inside post player big man offensive paint force - whatever else u want to add to that - EVER , nothing like Shaq in his prime,

and Kobe was entering and/or early in his prime as the 2nd best guard ever to Jordan.

So you have best center ever & 2nd best Shooting guard ever.

Only reason I have them above MJ & Pip is because

Kobe & Shaq - inside & outside , guard & center

vs

Mike & Scottie - small forward & shooting guard threat

so much gets made of Kobe vs. Shaq ,

Shaq vs. Kobe,

at the end of the day they both will be remembered as the greatest 1-2 punch in NBA history,

3 rings in a row prove that , and the fact they won those NBA Finals series - decisively.
