So every team that goes through a losing streak should just pack it up and ship out? There are perennial bottom dwellers, sure, but every team goes through ebb and flows. The expansion Bucs (NFL) were a terrible team for many many years and then suddenly, Super Bowl champs.

The Bobcats have made moves that have set them back quite a bit, but it seems like they’ve got more of a sense of direction lately. While it doesn’t show up in the W column, they’ve gotten some nice young talent to build around.

A team could succeed here but these are the things they need: A better owner; every move MJ has made has been for cost cutting and not basketball reason. If you cant afford a team then dont buy it. 2. Better branding. The Bobcats color scheme and name are the worst in the NBA. 3. Better talent evaluators. You cant just draft Adam Morrison because you think he will “energize your fan base” AKA he’s white or Sean May because he went to UNC. The list of high draft pick busts is long and scary…including taking Biyombo 8th with Klay Thompson, Markieff Morris, Alex Burks, Marson Brooks or even Chris Singleton still on the board. I suspect they took him assuming he would stay overseas for a year and save MJ some money but thats too high for him. People here supported the Hornets up until the owner decided to take his show on the road. Contract the Bobcats…. hell bring back the Hornets but not with MJ as owner. He has done everything but sell the light fixtures to save money.
