Thabeet sucks, but he has to be in the trade to make it work. If I remember correctly, though, I think he has an upcoming team option to where he will be off the books next year. Jonny Flynn isn’t a bad piece, plus the Hornets are thin at talent at the point with only Jack and Vasquez. He also might have some potential, so he’s worth a shot. Landry only has a 1 year deal, so Patterson could prove himself useful and could show to be a better piece for the hornets than Hill would be. The problem with the deal is that the league might push for the Knicks pick and the Rockets might not want to give that one up, seeing as this is a deep draft and if they make the playoffs, the Nets get their pick (top 14 protected from the Terrance Williams trade). This might be the best the Hornets can get, though, seeing as they aren’t really even giving Kaman minutes anymore and there aren’t really any better suitors.

There is no way the Cavs are in on Kaman.

1. He would have to sign an extension for FAR less money than the $14M he makes this year.
2. He has been injury prone to say the least over the last few years.
3. Byron Scott would want a defensive-minded C, and Kaman doesn’t fit that bill.
4. New Orleans would have to take back Antawn Jamison (which wouldn’t make sense for the Hornets).
5. The Cavs wouldn’t include first round picks to get a deal done.

Dalembert has been shutting down opposing post scorers and blocking/altering a lot of shots down the lane….Kaman is a O first guy that would indeed rotate the 4/5 w Scola and Sammy….Hill and Patterson and their 1st is enough IMO…Thabeet is overkill, as they still have Okafor and Aminu etc etc, plus Thabeet sucks

Last I checked, Dalembert was at center for the Rockets, with Scola at the four, this move would give the Rockets a solid back-up to those two for the rest of the season, because I don’t see, unless because of injury, the Rockets starting Kaman over those two.
