First off it was fire but it wasn’t a dunk just like the one over Mosgov. However he has had some beasting dunks and throw downs. A real dunk is how Vince Carter posterizes; Lebrons dunk jumping OVER Lucas was better. Alot of people just recognize the ferociousness of his ability when taking it to the hole. Blake, slam the rock through right so we can see the monster in that dunk!!

I think you’re slightly exaggerating on both accounts…Griffin isn’t 7 feet tall and I certainly doubt he has a 48 inch vertical.
Your point makes no sense though…the impressive thing is his vertical jump…It’s like saying “Usain Bolt’s sub-9.5 second 10 meter time doesn’t impress me b/c he has long legs and can move his feet very quickly. A fat 5 footer who can run – now that impresses me”

If he was 5’6″ I’d be impressed. But for someone nearly 7 feet tall, with a 4 foot vertical jump, I’m not impressed that he can throw a ball into a hole only 10 feet off the ground.

Be serious. How can you justify his hand not touching the rim to be a dunk. Last years ‘dunk’ was thriwn in from 2 or 3 feet away. Not tgat great.

It is impressive athletically, but a dunk? I think Blake and the media should just call them “throwdowns”. He is jumping with his arm extended well above the rim and throwing the ball through the rim,not dunking it through the basket.
