Video: Who has the best crossover in the NBA?

Jan 27, 2012, 2:43 PM EDT

Jamal Crawford or Derrick Rose?

You might throw some others in the conversation, but those are the two guys other NBA players are talking about in this video. And if your list doesn’t have J-Crossover on it, you’re doing it wrong.

But I’d lean Rose.

Derrick Rose. Hands down. Allthough don’t neglect to put Deron Williams in the same breath, his crossover is striaght foolish!

Yeah, Deron Williams has a crazy crossover, I’m still going to go with Derrick Rose.

It’s so sick, he does it with such ease and quickness. That’s why I’m taking Rose over Jamal Crawford too. J-Crossover has a nice crossover as well, but the edge goes to Rose because he’s lightening fast.

Stephon Marbury, easy. Oh wait, are we talkin players not in China? Then yeah I’d go with Rose.

Tim Hardaway’s crossover is BY FAR the best of all-time! It was legal, too!

      • Kurt Helin - Jan 29, 2012 at 4:00 PM

Better than Iverson? I don’t know.

      • andyp03 - Jan 29, 2012 at 4:04 PM

Iverson’s cross was legal until a rule change prior to his sophomore year. That’s how you know it was killer, they had to change a rule just to stop it!

Rose is a vastly better player, but Crawford has the better crossover. The reason is that while Rose will cross you up at full-speed (transition), Crawford will hit you in transition and in the front court.

Rose is great when somebody has to stop-ball. So is Crawford, but he shakes his man on the catch in the half court.

I’m going with D-Rose, why? His quickness and the simple fact he finishes with scoring. The crossover is nice to look at it, but if you do it and score while doing it, SHUT IT DOWN!
