Howard to LA – mistake – SHAQ all over again.
Howard to Nets – Too much time to find more pieces.
Howard to Mavs – Crappy has been team.
Howard to Clippers – Will have to give up Griffin (stupid move)
Howard to Celtics – Makes sense and could win Title.
Howard to Knicks – Trade for Melo and Chandler – Feasible
Howard to Bulls – I think it would be best fit. Rose/Howard combo could dominate.

Dwight has to take a pay cut to walk away in free agency. Since the team trading away the superstar almost always loses in the end I think its worth it to gamble and see if hes really ready to take the cut. Orlando is right to play it out. Besides, draft picks from contending teams can’t get you in the lottery so they don’t directly help you replace a superstar.

Bozo the clown again…so predictable this guy waits by the computer all day for a Celtics article so he start hating. I love how he mentions the yankees below when this guy claims to be a lakers fan, so a yankees/lakers fan, that says it all.

I am sure he is hurt his precious lakers arent even the best basketball team in the staples center anymore and needs to take his anger out on the internet.

The lakers better hope they trade for Howard soon bc they dont have the cap room to sign him, while the Celtics will have plenty of room and if they do I am sure Ray and KG would happily come back on the cheap.

It kinda does matter where Howard wants to go because if the other team in the deal knows Howard will walk at the end of the season, they aren’t going to give up quality players and draft picks for half a season with Howard. That would be utter stupidity. The Raptors could give up a lot to get Howard, but then what? He’s gone at the end of the season.

I agree, Philly is a great spot for Howard and have all the pieces to make it happen.

I agree the Sixers would be a good fit. Send them Iggy and Hawes and a couple of 1st rd picks for Howard. Sixers are a good young team, that plays team basketball. They would easily win the Atlantic with Howard at center, Brand at PF, T.Young at SF, E.Turner at SG, and J.Holiday at PG. They might win the Atlantic as it is now. Boston is old, NY needs a coach and a leash for there dog Melo, the Nets are the Nets, the Raptors don’t have a shot. Sixers are up and coming. And aside from Brand that team is all pretty young and should only get better. If I were Howard I would much rather play for the Sixers then Boston right now. The big 3 is very old and they just don’t even look anything like they used to. The future is bright in Philly not so much in Boston.

No one is claiming that Howard to LA is a “done deal”. Though Bynum is the most intriguing piece that Orlando could want, given that he is (when healthy and motivated) the second-best center out there and there wouldn’t be much of a dropoff for the Magic should they demand and receive him as part of any deal.

I doubt that Howard has any serious interest in coming to Boston, but he could certainly compete for championships there. They’ve got one of the top five point guards in the league, and lots of room via expiring contracts to build for the immediate future. Out of the current “Big 3″ they could trade Garnett and Pierce for some pieces (I’d try to keep Ray Allen for the next few years, he’s show a lot less wear and tear recently) and make a run at Howard in the summer. It’s not going to happen, but I’m sick of hearing how the Lakers are a “done deal” for Howard when that is truly not the case.

I’m sure that no one would care about those ancient titles…except for the Celtics loser fans. What have they done for you lately? ONE measly title in the last 25 years…while the Lakers have 11 in the same time span.

Couldn’t care less who they beat to get the titles…only that they have them. 17-16…and the Lakers have much more momentum in modern times, which means that they will soon pass the Celtics as the team with the most titles. Then Boston will have NO teams that have the most titles…while their bitter rivals, both the Yankees and the Lakers, will (of course, Green Bay and Montreal will still have the most in football and hockey, respectively).

At least the Lakers are just one behind…with 10 in the Modern Era (post-Magic and Bird) versus only 4 for the Celtics. No one really cares about those titles in the 60s, when there were only 8 teams in the entire league.
