Analysts, draft pundits, and jokers. Look–I just don’t get why someone would say a guy wouldn’t transition well into the NBA when all he has done is play great basketball. Never forget what your eyes see, folks.

Rr is extremely Fun to watch, he’s a true point guard, and as Derrick Williams continues to improve, and you get a healthy micheal beastly and jj barea, his assits number will improve even more, but in order for him to top kyrie Irving for rookie of the year I need him to average close to 15 ppg, , right now kyrie is averaging 17.1 a night and just over 5 dimes both slowly but surely increasing the more theca’s play and guess what that cavs are in the playoffs right now If the season ends, caves better than the Knicks who woulda thunk it, and I guarantee there a 7th seed come playoff time all thanks to mr. Irving, and a revived antwain jamison.

Kyrie Irving is a lock for rookie of the year, Rubio needs to average more the 10ppg to at least be considered seriously for it.

I think the best comparison for Rubio is Rajon Rondo. Both guys are great passers who struggle to shoot.

When he puts on some muscle weight and improves his endurance and strength he’ll be a even more fun to watch. And looks like Minnesota finally has a coach who can take these young players and make them competitive.

He was comparing the hate, not their skill sets. I don’t really agree with the statement either, but it is no insult to the players. It is an insult to the haters.

The awesome thing about Rubio in this game was that he wasn’t hitting his shots but he did all the little things to keep the Wolves in it. I agree with zer0sand0nes that lets not crown him ROTY just yet but lets not tear into him when he does have a bad game.

Bad comparison & an insult to Rubio, IMO. Rubio actually possesses the required skill set to play his position PG substantially above the NBA minimum standard.
Can you honestly say that about Tebow? A NBA player with such an underwhelming skill set as Tebow would not be in the NBA or rinsed out very quickly.

Before we crown him ROY etc, lets wait for a larger sample size. He’s played pretty well, but I was expecting more polish considering his European pro bball & int’l experience. Theres no denying his vision, but his mediocre foot speed & poor FG% may hamper his effectiveness once teams are able to scout & game plan.

What an amazing game! The Timberwolves have officially replaced the Warriors as the new Not-so-great-but-extremely-entertaining team.

Rubio has a lot of swagger and tremendous skills. He CAN shoot and he handles the offense like a 10-year veteran. I’d bet everything on a rookie of the year award and a fantastic NBA career for Ricky Rubio.
