If I’m the Knicks GM, I’m giving up either Carmelo or Amare for Deron in a second. As they’re currently constructed, the Knicks an unbalanced collection of parts that don’t particularly work well together. Williams, Chandler and either of the other two makes for a much better team than they have now.

If I remember correctly the Nets tried to get Carmelo too but paid less for Williams after Melo became a Net. Trading the two would admit making a huge mistake for the Knicks. Not saying I disagree with what you say, but I don’t think Melo for Williams will ever happen.

I can only hope the Mavs get him and Howard… Probably unlikely. Probably too much of a dream but Dirk, Dwight Howard and Deron Williams would top any other Big 3 in the league at the moment.
