The market only dictates the over paying of so so players because the G.M.s get into bidding wars over players that are not worth that kind of money.
They drive the price up.

Paying way to much for an average player just so you can feel that you “won” is dumb no matter how you cut it.
You don’t see Burger King and McDonalds paying someone $30 an hour so they can get “their guy”.

I just picked out some of the really bad moves from the last 5 or 6 years since most of these G.M.s were the same guys you have running the NBA today.
Like sheep, they all fall in line and do what they believe the other guys would do.

Overpay average players because they are afraid someone else will do the same.
Draft over hyped kids with a top 10 pick instead of the 2nd or 3rd round because they are afraid someone else will pick them first.
Sheep will let you lead them right off of a cliff.

There’s hits and misses with everything in life my friend. If that’s all the lottery mistakes from the last decade and over puffed up contracts you can name then it doesn’t seem like those GM’s did a bad job at all. I get what your trying to say though.

Don’t forget Michael Olowakandi and the infamous Kwame Brown! Adam Morrison. Robert Swift. Johan Petro. Patrick O’Brien. Yaroslav Korolev………………………….

These are the same guys that draft Hasheem Thabeet, Jonny Flynn, Terrence Williams, Cole Aldrich, Brandan Wright, Acie Law, Shelden Williams, Fran Vazquez, Mouhamed Sene, Yi Jianlian, Darko Milicic and Nikoloz Tskitishvili in the first round.

They also gave big fat contracts to players like Jermaine O’Neal, Antonio Davis, Emeka Okafor, Gilbert Arenas, Stephon Marbury, Erick Dampier, Larry Hughes, Bobby Simmons, Eddy Curry, Darius Miles and Jerome James.

These are the “Experts” that we are supposed to listen to when it come to predicting the NBA?

Here’s the pathetic thing: the heat are going to rejoice like they just cured cancer if they win one title when this team should win every year. They’ll be happy if the team breaks up after 6 years with 2 titles. Which is a complete and total joke. If lebron retires with no titles, dream come true. As long as he retires with less than Kobe, Jordan, and any other plethora of vastly superior players who did it the right way.

The NBA GM’s made these predictions? What a bunch of idiots. No wonder they ruined this season with a lock out. No way are the Heat winning it. Bulls and OC in the finals; pick em series! Durant MVP not much of a stretch. I guess nobody picks Rose because you wouldn’t want him winning it twice. I wonder if Adidas had something to do with it?lol
