Ha, yeah, Dwight wouldn’t mind playing for the Clippers, in their current form, if they didn’t have to trade away the pieces they have in order to get him.

Who knows though. If he becomes a free agent the Clips would have the cap room to sign him next season. Though he already knows that and knows he doesn’t have to make this statement if he were just going to sign there next season. Which makes this statement more strange. Seems like he’s saying this to put more pressure on the other teams that are pushing to get him.

The only team that would still look good after they traded for him would be the Lakers. Because at this point, Bynum has made the case that he doesn’t have to be packaged with Gasol to be worth the trade. The Lakers can get away with trading Bynum and another player or two and take on Hedo’s contract and that will be the best the Magic can expect to get in return.

Maybe Dwight Howard can play for the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls. After all, they finished at 72-10.

Don’t believe the hype, sir. CP3 is the best PG in the league. It’s not all about taking people to the cup, it’s about controlling tempo, getting the ball in the right person’s hand, shooting when needed, putting pressure on the D under control.

I don’t understand why the Bulls are not in the conversation. They could offer Noah and Deng in trade for Howard. And if the Magic could somehow get rid of Hedo’s contract it would work out nicely for them as well.

the clippers dont have anything outside paul and griffin to give up worth it so really the clippers are no where near a dwight howard trade so scratch that off dwight

The place that he should be begging to go to is Chicago. It blows my mind that he doesn’t seem interested in going there.

He and Derrick Rose would and hog all the championships for the next 5 years if they teamed up.

And who cares if Adidas doesn’t like it? What are they going to do? Stop sponsoring Howard if he says he wants to go to Chicago? Please.

If it’s truly all about winning for Howard, then he should be forcing his way to Chicago.

He needs to go ahead & add Chicago to that exclusive list. Imagine that…
But there has been reports that he hasn’t added the Bulls cause Adidas is not allowing it. The Bulls can give Orlando the best package but he & D. Rose are being prohibited from being teammates by their shoe endorsement!

With how well Bynum’s playing, Howard’s seeing that getting traded to the Lakers is becoming more and more unlikely. So, in an effort to try and scare the Lakers into action, he puts this Clippers garbage out there.

Bynum’s a stud and the Lakers should be content with him. Their biggest need is a PG.

Exactly how have the Magic handled this poorly? Maybe they should’ve just traded him as soon as he requested it, jack***. Maybe for Brook Lopez and uh, no one. Or maybe just Bynum. There’s no way they get Bynum and Gasol. The Magic owe it to their fans to try and keep him. As unlikely as that is, they still need to show it. Howard knows what he’s doing. Unfortunately, Otis Smith doesn’t. I’d be shocked if Howard or Smith are back next season.

Howard needs to add the sixers to that list because a iggy and hawes for Howard would be a great deal for both teams. The magic get way more than they would from anyone else throw in acouple first rounders and I think the magic get good value in return. The sixers get a guy who probably puts them into the top 3 with Chicago and Miami and IMO puts them ahead of both those teams because the sixers would be much deeper. The sixers could make a run this season and if money problems happen next year they can still amnesty brand and get under the cap when the kid (who looks real good early) they drafted this last season is ready to start.

Also for Howard this would make him the lone superstar in a major market ( ask ai how much money can be made here ) and I think would lead to much better nba in the sense that it would be a real team and not just superstars thrown together

I hope he plays out the season with the Magic. They have handled this poorly and deserve to get nothing in return. When LA lost out on Chris Paul they had as much leverage as they were ever going to have. Now Bynum’s still healthy and putting together a good year..so the Lakers arent falling over themselves. At this point..even if he says your on his list of teams… can any team trust him to sign with them if they trade for him?

Clippers only asset here would be Blake Griffin, and honestly, they should do it. The guy is overrated, and if they could get essentially a straight up swap of griffin for Howard, the GM for the Clips would be crazy not to do it.

Just remember: Blake Griffin doesn’t play any defense, struggles stretching the floor, and relies on his athleticism when he has a bad knee. He’s an above average player – but he not in the stratosphere of Dwight.

Bynum is by far the best they will get from any team. As a Lakers fan, at this point I’m not trading bynum to a team with no leverage, and for a guy you could possibly sign as a free agent at season end. As far as clippers, they have nothing worth anything outside of Griffin or Paul.
