P.s. is 20 Random observations, not 30. So not everybody gets one and if every team did in a constant basis it won't be random anymore.

i was only really talking about this year and even if the noise is just because of the 76er Revolution section who cares? How many other teams fans would just take their free tickets and not worry about making noise? Do they kick you out if you're not screaming? Philadelphians like making noise in a building. I live in NC and i try to go see the Flyers every time theyre in Carolina and we constantly out cheer their fans. They have us significantly out numbered but we out cheer those "hockey fans" every time.

And I don't know if I agree with your last comment. Yes out of the 4 major sports teams in Philadelphia the Sixers are the fans' least favorite, but it isn't because Philadelphians don't like basketball. Big 5 basketball is big in Philadelphia and the Palestra is like one of the 7 wonders of the basketball world. The Sixers are also one of the most historic franchises in the NBA and used to pack the house on a consistent basis. it just happened that the Sixers got rid of Iverson just as the economy started to crumble and nobody wanted to spend their money on a losing franchise without a star player. It is hard to sell team basketball to the casual fan, especially if they aren't one of the best teams in the league. Things will change though.

I've gone to at least a few games every year over the last 5 years, and I have to disagree with you. It's not very loud at all. It's only gotten loud this year because of the "76er Revolution" section where the owner gives out free tickets to fans who are willing to cheer loudly the entire game.

I think basketball in general just isn't that popular of a sport for suburban Philadelphians to watch. They prefer football, baseball, and hockey.

What's great about philly though is that even though there aren't a lot of people there, the place still gets so loud. I don't live anywhere close so i havent been to any of the games, but i watch every game on tv and you can clearly hear the MVP chants every time Spencer Hawes makes a shot haha. Gotta love philly.

Imagine how great it would be if the place were full like it is for the Flyers.

The only thing missing from this Sixers team is the fans. We get plenty of people to comment on these message boards but we still can't get anybody at the games. Hopefully one day people can start showing up.

"It’s true that the Lakers can’t lean on Kobe Bryant this much when the playoffs start. But isn’t it nice for the Lakers to know they can?"

It's true that the Lakers can have Kobe throw up 50 shots against inferior teams, make 35% of those shots, and be declared the hero. But isn't it nice to know this won't work in the playoffs?

Sixers make beating inferior teams look too easy. They just pull away and have fun. That to me was always a good measure of good coaching. Doug Collins has this team focused. Save a back to back to back game vs a day off Knicks, they have been unstoppable. Next week they play home Friday night then fly to Miami to play Saturday. Tx schedule makers. It makes it pretty hard to get a handle of how good they really are. Fun to watch sound TEAM basketball.
