To be fair, they played a terrible, terrible, undisciplined team that showed no real interest in winning the game last night.

But good for JL3.

I thought this would highly impact the Bulls.

- No starting MVP point guard, Rose
- No backup PG, Watson,
- No staring shooting guard, Hamilton

Sure, they only managed to get 78pts on the board, but the Bulls really REALLY excel in two other things.

Defense and Depth.

With their defense, they broke another NBA record for fewest points allowed in the first four home games of a season. The record before was from the '97 Cavs. They allowed 302 points in the first 4 games of the season. This year's Sixers, they allowed 306pts, which put them in third place all time.

The Bulls? They only allowed 270 total points in four games. When you have defense that stingy, it's virtually impossible to lose unless the team has an absolute horrendous shooting night.

In terms of Depth, they rack up near the top if not THE top. When a guy named John Lucas III comes in to start in place of the MVP, and comes out with 25 points, than yeah, that's some great depth. Plus don't go ahead and tell me that they were playing the Wizards. John Lucas III has NEVER started for an NBA team, and he was put in the position to fill in for Derrick Rose. That's a high task.

I find it interesting that Rip has missed 7 games (and counting) with a "groin", CJ Watson has a dislocated elbow, and DRose has Turf Toe, which leaves the Bulls with two guards on the roster. But GarPax refuses to sign anyone to a 10-day. Oh well, not like we're playing a compressed schedule or anything this year.
