He was right though. I refuse to even acknowledge the silliness of saying he’s not a sure fire HOF player.

You have to have those glue guys who have been through it and can get the more talented young players properly prepared to go out and perform. In the NBA the difference isn’t talent so much as preparation

Why all the hate on Ray Allen? When did he ever carry a team? I remember his days as a Buck were he dominated. I remember his Seattle days were he really became a star. I remember the West semis where he literally shot Seattle to make it a series against the Spurs while Rashard Lewis was crying about a toe injury.

I remember 2-3 seasons ago when in the playoffs Ray put 50+ points on the Chicago Bulls in OT trying to keep his team alive with KG and Pierce out. This man has earned his due. Def top 20 SG all time and could make a case for top 50 all time cause of his 3 point shooting. Remember before coming to Boston he was a 25 per night player. Give the man his due.

Really guys? I’m all for being for or against certain guys, it’s the nature of sports and it’s fun. But the guy is a career 20ppg scorer (talent) with 10 All-Star Appearances (recognized by peers) and 8 playoff appearances (buckets on winning teams), even the most subjective guy would have to admit he’s not a supporting player. Plus what was so bad about what he sad?

Why dont you take your comment and apply it to that ball hog bryant out in LA who rode shaq’s d**k to 3 titles, won one and then got lucky perkins got hurt in game 6 and KG had 1 working leg and needed artest and fisher to bail him out in game 7 because he shot 6-24 to beat the celtics in 2010

Ray led the bucks to the conference finals, yes the freaking bucks and led seattle to a division title and multiple playoff apperances and series wins despite being surrounded by garbage.

Ray swalled his pride and was willing to be the 3rd option on a great team to win a title, not many stars would do that. He is the all time 3 point leader and will be by 10 miles by the time he retires.

Allen is nothing more than a supporting player who could NEVER carry a team all by himself. Had to be traded to a loaded team just to get his one measly ring.
