Wizards’ Ronny Turiaf breaks his hand, out 5-6 weeks

You thought Manu Ginobili was the only player who broke his hand Monday, but the Argentinian was not the trend setter here.

Wizards backup center and energy guy Ronny Turiaf is out with a broken hand. Here is the tweet from Michael Lee of the Washington Post.

Ronny Turiaf has a broken left hand – same one he broke last summer. Will be out 5-6 weeks. Seeing specialist

Not a huge blow on the court, Turiaf was averaging 15 minutes a game off the bench and giving the Wizards 1.5 points and 3 rebounds a game. But as a PBT in-house favorite for the passion with which he plays (something other bigs in Washington could learn from) he will be missed.
