While I don’t discount your assessment of the situation….. they needed to move his contract. They could not take on players or a 1st-round pick in exchange. Why the Timberwolves were the other player, I don’t know. But he would have been moved to somebody for the exact same compensation.

Maybe it was simply that the Wolves had the highest 2nd-round pick to offer…..

Beasley is a bigger Isaiah Rider/Stephon Marbury. He will always be a volume shooter on a bad team. Lets not forget the Heat gave this guy away for a 2nd round pick with only the T-Wolves biting.
