Video: Eric Gordon with the game winner for Hornets

Dec 27, 2011, 8:45 AM EDT

Eric Gordon is very, very good. In a few years he will be one of the best slashing guards in the league. The Clippers were only going to trade him for a handful of players in the league (Chris Paul being one of them).

Here he is getting the Hornets a win over the Suns in the season opener for both teams. These final two gave Gordon 20 on the night, and he hit this over the much taller Jared Dudley. You’re going to see a lot more Gordon highlights over the years.

As a bonus track, here is Russell Westbrook breaking Luke Ridnour‘s ankles from Tuesday.

Earth to Helin – the Hornets have not been based in Charlotte for 10 years. Just noticed how you butchered Tyreke Evans’ name. You don’t get paid do you?

Good God, are you serious? Charlotte? We know the national media only cares about 5-6 teams, but when you finally find the time to write something about one of the “insignificant teams”, could you please at least get the city right? They’ve only been there for oh, a decade or so.

Far be it from me to rip Kurt for an honest mistake, the thing I noticed is just how little Gordon seemed to care about hitting that shot. He barely slapped 5 with anyone and didn’t even give the typical chest-bump with anyone. Now, I only saw this shot, so maybe he was in full “serious” mode. But for those people who watched the entire game, does he seem like he wants to be in NO the rest of the game?
