Tuesday And-1 links: Why all the Kris Humphries hate?

New name, same drill. This is our morning look around the NBA — links to stories worth reading and notes to check out (stuff that did not get its own post here at PBT).

Washington Wizards fans booed Kris Humphries all night long Monday. Well done, Washingtonians. Way to side with the woman who became famous because of a sex tape. She has the high moral ground. (Humphries had 21 points, 16 rebounds by the way.)

Paul Pierce is likely out for Tuesday night’s Celtics game against Boston. That means more Sasha Pavlovic. Matched up on LeBron James.

Coach Rick Adelman will miss Tuesday’s Minnesota game to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law.

The Knicks are about to pick up former Harvard star Jeremy Lin, reports Marc Stein at ESPN. So, another Harvard guy gets a job in Manhattan. The Rockets had to cut Jeremy Lin to make way for Samuel Dalembert.

Richard Hamilton has 16 points on 8-of-18 shooting through two games with the Bulls. Chicago is still figuring out how to use him, but Ronnie Brewer seems to be outplaying him right now.

Look for the fine to come next — Milwaukee forward Drew Gooden was ejected from the Bucks’ game for a flagrant foul.

We told you in our recaps that the Mavs Sean Williams threw up all over the floor when he sat down on the bench Tuesday (summing up the whole game for Dallas). If that is the kind of thing you want to see video of, here you go.

Bobcats guard guard D.J. Augustin sprained his ankle and is listed as day-to-day.

Carmelo Anthony is doing better running the pick and roll than I expected. He’s been pretty good at it.

Mike Bibby will suit up for the Knicks next Tuesday. Don’t expect much out of that, Knicks fans.

Talking about Chris Paul’s go-to move.

Pau Gasol has a sprained shoulder and Josh McRoberts a sprained toe for the Lakers, but they are both playing through it.

The rookie combo in Minnesota was not bad Tuesday night. Ricky Rubio had six points and six assists while Derrick Williams had 13 points. Give them time.

Jeff Pendergraph could return to the Pacers next week (he tweaked his surgically repaired knee during training camp).

Remind me, did the #1 pick play last night? havent seen anything on him yet. while his shot was off, 7 assists amd only 1 turnover is still impressive. not to mention the #4 pick playing impressively.

Kurt, have you EVER said anything not-negative about the Knicks? LeBum lover.

“Paul Pierce is likely out for Tuesday night’s Celtics game against Boston.”

    Already in mid-season form…

My wife watches every stupid Kardashian show there is….. and as somebody who sits facing the other direction with headphones on I can tell you if I knew nothing about him or those stupid shows, I would immediately boo too.

He’s in his mid 20’s and he got totally used by a vapid-self-promoting-hooker. People hate him because they don’t know he’s actually a really good kid from a good family and all he’s trying to do is make it in the pro’s and have a happy love life like anybody trying to live that dream life.

If you actually had to see some of the retarded show he’s on, you’d realize how much more of a piece of garbage Kim really is and how bad this poor guy got thrown under the bus.

Whether he can play a lick of basketball, I still don’t know, but he doesn’t deserve what he’s getting right now. Clearly a bad decision that he wont get away from any time soon. Im sure all of you brilliant posters never made bad decisions in your mid 20’s that you regret…..yea thought so

    • dirtydavis - Dec 27, 2011 at 4:27 PM

Amen to that!!! Kim still has a grade “A” heart shape ass, though.

Chargerdillon, you are so spot on! Why would anybody hate on this poor kid! He got used and thrown to the trash heap by a self serving media whore. All he is trying to do is live his dream life. Play in the NBA, be married to a beautiful woman. What 20 something guy wouldn’t want that? I feel for this guy and wish him all the best. He didn’t deserve what he got. Maybe the guys are hating on him because for a short time, he got to bang one of the hottest chics on the planet. Yes, anybody a little older knew he was making a mistake, but you can’t fault him for not having experience beyond his years. It will all work out for him in the long run, and I will be cheering for him. I hope that self serving hooker gets what she has coming!

“Why all the Kris Humphries hate”

Because he is the first white guy to bonk that Kardashian?

    • tanna456 - Dec 27, 2011 at 4:12 PM

Uhh, have you ever seen Kris Humphries father? Apparently not………. Oh yeah, leave out the racist comments. I don’t know why, no matter the topic, some A-hole comes along and brings race into the conversation. It’s NOT relevant to this conversation!!!

    • qdog112 - Dec 27, 2011 at 6:29 PM

So now a mixed person can be called white? That’s cool with me. Race is an artificial divider anyway.

  6. rooter2thetooter - Dec 27, 2011 at 2:55 PM

I’m not sure about the hate. I applaud the man. Sorry he got sucked in to Kim’s fat arse. She and her entire family are famous for being smart enough to leak her sex tape and get paid. Hump on the other hand actually has talent. Yes, I watched the show if you want to call it that but will never watch it again simply because they really suck the life out of the room. Hump will recover, while Kim will do what she always does….prostitute herself to the highest bidder. Way to go Kris Jenner, you’ve raised a bunch of no talent parasites!

my mamma always said you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas

  8. qdog112 - Dec 27, 2011 at 6:27 PM

Why are fans hating on Humphries? In a word – STUPIDITY. They don’t even know why.
