No never heard of NY, just lived in 4 out of the 5 boroughs my whole life. I think my Stern school of business (ever heard of it) education is enough to know that you are a hack and that the knicks could care less if Lin is Asian. Your more of NYer than me though because your user name says so.

BTW I avoid China town at all costs. No parking and its disgusting.

Idiots don’t understand the marketing involved. Whether he plays or not, he’s a foothold into the massive Chinese market, here and overseas. The better he plays, the better the Knicks do in world-wide popularity, the more money they make.

Never heard of San Francisco’s Chinatown? IT’S the biggest Chinese community outside of Asia. Plus, plenty of other big cities have Chinatowns. The Wizards’ arena is dead-center in DCs Chinatown. Nice place. NY ain’t all that son.

That’s awesome! So glad that you’ve been there. While this little section of comments is going off into a completely different direction, I’d just like to bring us back on point and say that I seriously doubt that the Knicks signed Lin to appease Chinatown. Just like I doubt they pursued trading for Jordan Farmar just because New York has a large Jewish community.

Kurt is a NY hater now? Please. Some of you on PBT have some pretty crazy conspiracy theories. You all blame Kurt for loving/hating a new team every five minutes. Kurt was saying he’s not sure if Lin was going to stay because of the players they have at PG. Meaning, will there be room for Lin when Shumpert gets back? And it’s not exactly “hating” on NY to say that their PG play hasn’t been mind blowing. They even have Melo running point because of the lack of a quality PG.

There are not a lot of PG minutes in NYC — Toney Douglas starts, Iman Shumpert is a D’Antoni favorite, and Mike Bibby is set to return on Wednesday. But none of those guys is looking fantastic, so there are minutes to be earned with good play.

Iman is hurt. Please know what you’re talking about Kurt, and stop hatin’ NY.
